TITLE: Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance is responsible for planning and leading an efficient system for recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating all personnel of the district. The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance shall provide leadership to ensure that district employment practices and activities are in compliance with State and Federal laws. The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance shall be responsible for the evaluation of all personnel under his or her leadership. The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance will be expected to work collaboratively with building level leaders to promote the effective recruitment and retention of high qualified teachers and staff. The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance will be responsible for all duties outlined in the approved job description and other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance will be responsible for accomplishing the following:
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel and in accordance with the District Comprehensive School Improvement Improvement Plan.
Terms of Employment:
Twelve month contract with salary and work year to be established by the Board.
Sick leave will be allowed as provided in the Board of Education Policy.
Salary Range:
$100,000- $150,000

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Compliance will be responsible for accomplishing the following:
- Plan and administer an efficient system of recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating all personnel of the district.
- Serve as Title IX officer for the district and conduct necessary training for staff.
- Administer and monitor the district’s Career Ladder program in collaboration with building level leaders and the central office leadership team.
- Provide a detailed annual report and information to the superintendent outlining recommendations for personnel needs based on district data and state standards.
- Assume responsibility for budget development and long-range planning for all areas under their leadership.
- Work collaboratively with building leaders, teachers, and staff.
- Prepare for and attend all district leadership teams, board of education, and other committee meetings as needed.
- Keep informed of all laws, regulations, statutes, rules, and board policies affecting areas of responsibility and respond to faculty, staff, students, and parent concerns or complaints arising from areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate with district and building leaders in decision-making to address/solve problems through district-wide leadership.
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Superintendent may from time to time assign or delegate.
