Villa Duchesne is seeking an experienced School Counselor for our Upper School (grades 7-12). This position requires that the candidate has a conferred master’s degree in social work (or similar), has previous counseling experience, and is a licensed clinical social worker. This position can be a full-time or part-time role.

Villa Duchesne is seeking an experienced School Counselor for our Upper School (grades 7-12). This position requires that the candidate has a conferred master’s degree in social work (or similar), has previous counseling experience, and is a licensed clinical social worker. This position can be a full-time or part-time role.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be available for student social and emotional support throughout the school day;
- Create and coordinate a counseling curriculum for grades 7-12;
- Serve on the Care Team to respond to student needs and challenges;
- Be able to immediately respond to issues and needs of the school community;
- Communicate effectively with parents and administrators about student social-emotional well-being;
- Build strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, and parents;
- Be able to work collaboratively with faculty members to assist individual students;
- Address and respond to urgent mental health situations.
