The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love for music while helping students reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumental music education, a commitment to student growth, and the ability to inspire a passion for music while continuing to build a successful program. The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate for Instrumental Music

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach orchestra classes across grades 6-12, tailoring instruction to different skill levels.
- Direct school orchestra ensembles, including rehearsals, concerts, and competitions.
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
- Organize and participate in concerts, festivals, and community performances.
- Collaborate with other music educators, administrators, and the community to support the arts program.
- Maintain and manage instrument inventory, music library, and budget.
- Provide individualized instruction to help students develop technical and musical skills.
- Salary schedule placement acknowledging highest level of education and ALL years of previous teaching experience as allowed by the salary schedule
