POSITION TITLE: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  The candidate must possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  •  Possess certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  •  Show related work experiences with children with special needs, preferably in a school setting
  •  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
  •  Knowledge of community resources and services available to support students and families.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Teacher contract days (minimum 174 plus additional contracted days) with benefits according to Board policy.

JOB GOAL: The BCBA serves as a critical resource within the school district, providing expertise in behavior analysis while fostering collaboration between the school, families, and community organizations. This role involves developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, training staff, and enhancing community partnerships to support students with diverse needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position an employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, and use fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach, bend, and carry up to ten pounds. Close vision ability to look at a computer screen for long periods of time may be required.

CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is noisy and active.
Additional assignments/coaching may be available.

West Platte 2024-25 base compensation is $44,750.  The District provides 100% Board paid Health Insurance, 50% Board paid dental, 50% Board paid vision, and Board paid life insurance.
